Nature of Business

Omega Logistics Service is a long-haul and regional truckload carrier 
providing protective service transportation and general commodities to
customers in Johor. Our company offer transport services to users who
require such services, often on open markets. Transport users pay for
the services delivered according to the terms of the agreed contract. 
Besides, our company have doing rent warehouse to store goods that 
are in a certain time. We offer an economical warehouse with distribution 
services designed with the flexibility and care necessary to successfully 
build your business. A lot of companies require extra storage spaces for 
their goods and equipment. So our company can susceptible our warehouse
that companies to be used as their storage space.

Organization Goals( Long Terms)

Within three (3) years to come, we hope to become a major industry business 
consulting firm in business logistics in Johor Bahru, the connection and
understanding with many companies increase the quality of service of 
the logistics. Next, we can see the company make its way to handle 
projects on a larger scale by the main players in the logistics services 
industry with a larger budget to invest.

Target Customer

Our target market is the customers who want quality logistics service  to large businesses. 
Especially we follow the market in Johor Bahru and nearby areas .We hope we can 
expand our business to Melaka and eventually cover all the states in Malaysia.

Logistics service have two part such as rent warehouse and rent transport. 
Customer using rent transport for replace the goods to other place as Giant Malls, 
AEON Jusco, Tesco Stores, and large factories. Rent transport have  trailer, lorry and vans.
In addition, there are some companies need to hire warehouse because they do not 
have a large warehouse to store goods that are in a certain time. 

Types e-logistics use in the organization (B2C)

In our company we are using one of a system type of E-Business that called 
Business To Customer. We are using an Internet and electronic commerce 
(e-commerce) model financial transaction or online sale between our company 
and our customer. Most companies that sell directly to consumers can be 
referred to as B2C companies. While this business has doing an activity that 
exists both online and offline. This Business-To-Consumer has played a 
large role in the rapid development of the commercial Internet. It makes our 
company easier to promote what activity that we are doing right now, 
and telling to the consumer over the internet about what we rent or offer.

The B2C model is likely the model that most people are familiar with. 
If you've ever purchased an item online for your own use, you've e-tailed. 
This type of business has make us reduce our budget by promoting using
 online that is free rather than using flyers that using much money. 
We, are providing transportation service and also renting our warehouse 
to public via the internet to the final consumer anywhere in the world.

This E-Business type have give us various benefit to our company. 
One of the most evident benefits of that we can see is economic 
efficiency resulting from the reduction in communications costs. 
Business-To-Consumer is a low-cost technological infrastructure, 
speedier and more economic electronic transactions with suppliers.
 It is also called as a lower global information sharing and advertising 
costs, and cheaper customer service alternatives.

Logistics Software

TRANSPORT MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE (TMS)

The second software is transportation management software (TMS). 
TMS helps our company to be efficient, reliable, and cost effective to our transportation service. This software serves us the logistics 
management hub in a collaborative network of customers. 
Moreover, this software module include route planning optimization, 
execution, vehicle audit, payment, warehouse management, order 
visibility and customer service management. This software helps 
our company to reduce costs through better route planning and 
mode selection and also it improve accountability with visibility into the transportation chain. In our business TMS provide greater flexibility
 to make changes in our delivery plans. Its selection guide contains 
general guidance, specific selection criteria, ROI data, market data, 
and receiver profiles helps our organization’s team members make 
more informed, fact-based decisions. 

WAREHOUSE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (WMS)

The third software that we using in our company is Warehouse 
Management System (WMS). WMS help to improve the efficiency 
of our company's warehouse operation. By combining a warehouse 
management system with a wireless network, mobile computers, radio
 frequency identification (RFID) technology it help us fully extend our 
company to the mobile worker, while increasing operational efficiencies
 and enhancing our customer service. Although installing a full-scale 
warehouse management system is a costly investment, we quickly 
recognize its value. After a warehouse management system has been 
up and running for only a few months, many of our customers say that 
they cannot envision their operations without it.

Technology

1.GLOBAL POSITIONING SYSTEM (GPS)  :

One of the technologies that our company use is GPS. This is because this 
GPS can function at any time, which was even in good weather or bad it still 
can work. The purpose of this GPS is used to determine whether goods carried
 by our transportation reach to  the supposed destination. So, if the goods reach 
at a wrong places, the GPS will able to locate the driver and cannot deceive us. 
In addition to the case, the GPS can also help drivers to get to the correct location, 
at the right time.

2.DIGITAL IMAGING AND DATA RECOGNITION REVOLUTIONIZE CORPORATE INFORMATION MANAGEMENT :

Digital Imaging is the technology that allows organisations to capture
 paper-based information and convert it into electronic images to be stored 
electronically. These technologies enable users to index or enter ‘metadata’ 
into the system and utilise some form of storage technology to save the digital 
version of the document.

3.RADIO FREQUENCY DATA IDENTIFICATION (RFID) :

RFID is a technology that incorporates the use of electromagnetic or 
electrostatic coupling in the radio frequency (RF).  This technology was 
used to scan the code on the item. This system used in warehouse to each 
of them have different codes. Positive effect with using this system is the 
work can be simplified because the code are in the data that we have 
entered into the system.

4.TRUCK CAMERA SYSTEMS

In-truck CCTV from Viewtech can be use within the transport and logistics
 industries. Integrated systems can be designed that utilize multi-camera 
systems for both safety and security. Truck Cameras can be used for 
reversing and blind spot monitoring and at the same time be recorded 
for security purposes including forklift loading and unloading, 
stock theft and operator misconduct.
